About the Book
Please visit www.GraceArtGroup.com for more art and ideas from Sarah Curtiss and William Solis.
William Solis has an unflagging creative spirit which evolves into unique perspectives on the world with every new idea that comes into his head. He is comfortable in so many mediums that his art is always fresh and meaningful, never repetitive, never boring. His is the art of the heart and the soul, lessons learned from life, trial and error. This is a man who puts in a full day of hard work and spends his evenings creating art. He finishes what he begins and is an inspiration to all who view his work, his art and his life.
The paintings included in this book are arranged to tell a story, a story of creation and destruction, a story of the small and the large, a story of religion, society, politics, change and continuity.
The sculptures are arranged to tell the erotic story of evolution. No family tree exists today without a good dose of attraction and desire somewhere in its roots. All of Solis' sculpture is created from found wood, a process that speaks to William's soul as a beach comber and a recycler of the discarded.
