About the Book
Theatre de la Jeune Lune
Theatre de la Jeune Lune was founded in France in 1978 by Parisians Dominique Serrand, Vincent Gracieux and Minneapolis native Barbra Berlovitz. A short while later, the three were joined by Minneapolitan Robert Rosen. All are graduates of the renowned theatre school Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris, and jointly assumed the Artistic Director duties of Theatre de la Jeune Lune. Steven Epp joined the company as Artistic Associate in 1983 and was asked to join the founders as co-Artistic Director in 2001.
Jeune Lune settled permanently in Minneapolis in 1985, after seven years of splitting their seasons between France and the United States. In the fall of 1992, after fourteen years of peripatetic performance, the company moved into the renovated Allied Van Lines cold storage building in the Minneapolis warehouse district, and called it home until the summer of 2008.

About the Creator
Michal Daniel
Prague, Czech Republic
Born in Prague, then Czechoslovakia. Left for the US in 1969. Served in the USAF and became photographer after seeing my first 4×5 neg come up in the developer, under a green safelight: military boot stepping on a flower. Corny, I know, but hey, I was instantly in love, forever. Ran my own custom b&w lab in Minneapolis for two decades, taught fine b&w printing, was the first and then exclusive US importer of FOMA film and paper products from the Czech Republic. Always made street photos for myself, and live entertainment images for a living, now back home in Prague. More in this TV segment about me: http://www.mnoriginal.org/art/?p=3157
