About the Book
"Island Ferry Haiku" explores the world of Portland's Casco Bay ferry to and from Long Island, Maine. It combines mixed-media artwork, photography, and poetry. A haiku is 17 syllable Japanese-style poem divided into three lines of 5/7/5. The book was inspired by Bob Barancik's nine summers at his beloved rustic, island studio.
