About the Book
Inside a small storage room, located in the back of a parking garage of an old cannery building, the very first Slow Loris shirts were printed in the spring of 1997 in Oakland California. Today, over 10 years later, Slow Loris continues printing original drawings onto clothing and paper, but now has relocated it's studio to Guemes Island, off the coast of the Pacific Northwest.
We choose to not use computers for any of the designing steps in our illustrations, so every line, mark, and color separation you see, was hand made using an ink pen, xacto knife, and rubylith film.
This book illustrates the many steps we take to make. These photos show our layers in process.
