About the Book
Amelia M. Falk
Amelia started her journey towards feminism with the teachings of her mother, who taught women studies at the local university. Her mother taught her to view all women as goddesses as well as how to have a healthy body image. Her earliest recall of a goddess is the goddess of Willendorf, a healthy rotund female form made to symbolize the essence of beauty and fertility. This figure was at odds with the images from the media that were around her as she grew up. As an adult, she made the decision to go against the grain of the standard issue of beauty and has made it her goal to provide women with an alternative viewpoint. She hopes that it can make a difference.
