About the Book
This is a catalog for an exhibition that raises topical issues of environmental concerns through art. Sculptures created out of recycled plastic address environmental crisis such as global warming, ice caps melting, hormone disruption, species decline, and the North West Pacific Gyre. The sculptures are seductive and more light-hearted than the underlying issues. However, the artists hope that viewers will rethink their daily lives in terms of the consumption of plastic.
