About the Book
Basil is one of the oddest felines I've ever met. In his mid-teen years, he's slowed down some, but what's certain is that he is definitely unique. He allows very few to get within his personal space; I'm honoured I got to be one of the selected few. For my friends (and caretakers), I wanted to make this short photo-book highlighting his "ornery" character and something about how he spends his days. I wanted something tangible; something which records and shows he was up and around and enriching my friends' lives for many years. Basil passed away peacefully in Sydney, Australia on 18 December 2015 with 18 years surrounded by people who loved him.

I'm trained in the ways of physics, astronomy, and analytic thinking. But at heart, I'm writer, photographer, and traveler. It is very possible to do all of the above; I can write science, technical and software documentation, and travel. I'm looking forward to producing a variety of photography books, based on years of travel, ideas, and desires.
