About the Book
Sometimes we sense a presence in the world about us: perhaps in the glistening of water in a dappled stream, in the rising of the moon across the bay, or in the sibilance of a wind in branches on a starry night. Always there is shadow, and there is light.
These are the moments that I love to photograph, and when they work, there is a sense of mystery to them...a mystery that, for me, lies at the very heart of things. Such photos have almost a sense of the impossible...of dreaming...as if, like the ocean, the world itself were alive...alive and dreaming me.
