About the Book
Birds - The Epic Adventures of a Massachusetts bird photographer. Peter Christoph finds his inspiration for photographing birds from the birds themselves, marvels of Creation that continue to amaze him. Peter still stands in awe at the sight of a great blue heron taking flight, a hummingbird able to fly backwards, the 11 foot wingspan of a White Pelican, and the precision strike of an osprey catching a fish. He is still struck by the regal colors of a Baltimore Oriole, the Eastern Bluebird, the Yellow Warbler, and the Northern Cardinal. He stops in his tracks to listen to the call of a loon or the belted Kingfisher, or the hoot of a great horned owl.
In this book Peter brings his adventures to life in full color as he shares with you some of his most favorite bird photographs captured in their natural habitat. He also shares with you the locations of every photograph so that you can go and capture some of the same images he has.
Peter Christoph makes his home in South Lancaster, Massachusetts with his wife and daughter. All of the photos in this book were taken in central or eastern Massachusetts, unless noted.
