About the Book
In March 2007 we traveled to Baja California, spending 2 weeks on Lindblad Expeditions ship Sea Lion. We started on the Pacific side of the peninsula visiting Isla Magdalena and San Ignacio Lagoon. Then around the southern tip to Cabo San Lucas and north to visit nine uninhabited islands in the Sea of Cortez and the small mining town of Santa Rosalia.
We saw wonderful desert scenery and lots of birds and sea life. One highlight was being able to touch Gray Whales in San Ignacio Lagoon. We also saw Blue Whales on several days and a large number of Sperm Whales.
