About the Book
This book shows an impression of two days strolling through the city of Athens, mainly concentrated around Plakka and the Acropolis. Eye-catchers where a mix of graffitti, old monuments, houses for rent, and often dilapidated.
Despite the present rough economic times people showed a positive attitude, not hiding the fact that many of them must suffer severely having lost their jobs or even their homes. Hopefully they will succeed in creating enough positive energy to return to prosperity without getting lost in a long lasting battle between ultra left and ultra right political forces.
I hope the pictures speak for themselves.

Photography has been a hobby from my early days as a student until today. As I could retire some time ago, it became possible to spend more time to further develop this passion. It is certainly a pleasure in these modern times, where we can reap all the benefits from the digital era, leaving the work in dark rooms and chemical processes behind us and outsource it to computers and Blurb printers........
