About the Book
My photography journey began when well into my 70’s I bought a Canon Rebel Xti DSLR camera, a 18-200 mm zoom lens, a 90 mm macro lens and quickly learned that I had no idea how to use this equipment, didn’t understand the language of photography and, rather surprisingly, didn’t know what to shoot. Through joining a photography club I was exposed to many different subjects taken by very talented photographers whose abilities and imagination still never cease to amaze me. Also it became apparent that I needed a computer and would have to learn about editing my images.
Very slowly it developed I enjoy the challenge of taking macro shots of flowers, have an eye for the abstract and shapes, love shooting colourful graffiti and rusting metal - in general whatever catches my eye.
This book is a reflection of that. For a person who loves to shoot colour and shapes, what better place than the stunning Chihuly glass display in Seattle, Washington, which is a riot of both.
