About the Book
Yes, I know, it is an interesting title, and there is a purpose for choosing it. So often, we take life's journey so focused on the task at hand that we never slow down enough to appreciate and see what we look at. One of the greatest gifts I could have given myself was my return to photography. Looking at life through the viewfinder has encouraged me to slow down and contemplate the stories that everything around us has to tell. These stories can be told from something as simple as a nail in a fence post or as elaborate as an old dusty road that fades into the horizon. Everything around us, from the mundane to the complex, has a story to tell.
As I have shared my photographs with those around me, I have been intrigued at how each person not only is drawn to different images , but also responds differently to the images. Some see complex metaphors in the imagery, while others simply enjoy them for their beauty. So, with that said, the following images are offered without commentary or explanation. I encourage you to slow down, wander for a while, and see the stories that everything we look at has to tell.
