About the Book
The artist has a deep appreciation for the tradition and culture of the past, that tends to recycle, filter and return through the suggestions of her work, with the eyes and heart of those who live militant by the art of living in the state of being contemporary.
Since her earliest appearances in group exhibitions, reviews and competitions, Cangi has immediately obtained awards and critical acclaim. Since the Nineties she exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
To remember are the successes in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Regensburg (Germany), Atlanta (U.S.A.) and Ghent (Belgium). Some of her works are part of public and private collections. /// Dina Cangi nasce ad Arezzo, dove vive e lavora in località Chiani. Dopo il diploma di scuola superiore si dedica all’arte esercitando, con un’assidua ricerca di colori, luci, superfici e materiali, la pratica della pittura. È appassionata di antropologia e archeologia.
L’artista nutre un grande apprezzamento per la tradizione e la cultura del passato, che tende a recuperare, filtrare e restituire attraverso le suggestioni dei suoi lavori, con gli occhi e il cuore di chi vive da militante l’arte della propria contemporaneità.
Fin dalle sue prime apparizioni in mostre collettive, rassegne e concorsi, la Cangi ottiene immediati riconoscimenti di pubblico e critica. Dagli anni Novanta ha esposto con personali e collettive in Italia e all’estero.

About the Creator
Danielle Villicana D'Annibale is an American artist, art dealer, and collector. She is the Founder and CEO of Villicana D'Annibale, Inc., an art gallery and artist agency headquartered in Pasadena, California. She is also Founder and Artistic Director of Via Cavour 85, an experimental space for contemporary art in Arezzo, Tuscany in Italy. Born in San Francisco and raised in Pasadena and Laguna Beach, she earned a B.A in Art history and the Visual Arts from Occidental College in 1994 and a Diploma in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts (Accademia di Belle Arti) in Rome in 2006. Danielle has been actively promoting contemporary art and culture with her husband light designer Maurizio D'Annibale since 2010, organizing over 100 exhibits and numerous cultural events as well as creating over 50 artist catalogues and monographs.
