About the Book
My apartment building has a resident with a green thumb and great work ethic. Brad spends much of his free time each summer planting, pruning, weeding and nurturing many plants and flowers on the common patio of our building. I took some pictures this summer of his handiwork. In the fall, he asked me if I could print some of the pictures for him. I decided to surprise him with a Blurb book showcasing his talent for making things grow.
This being my first year as a serious amateur photographer, I made many mistakes with these images. Most were made with a Canon digital SLR, though there are several that were shot with 35mm film.
I talked to Brad the other day, and he said he may not have time next summer to garden on the patio. That would truly be a shame, as having the patio covered with healthy, colorful plants and flowers adds so much to the experience of living here.
