The Runswick to Port Mulgrave beach walk is a popular fossil hunter's circular walk, from Runswick to Port Mulgrave and back along the cliff path. It has numerous places for fossiling and jet hunting. The history of Port Mulgrave and picturesque village of Runswick is of interest. The boulder field is arduous but the short distance to Port Mulgrave, however, it may be possible for families to negotiate with time but is probably more suited to the walker. The path that ascends to the cliff from Port Mulgrave beach is unsuitable for those with very young children.
