This guide book is for the Weets Top and Winterburn Reservoir Walk from the "Waterfall Walks in the Geological and Archaeological landscape of Malhamdale and the Surrounding Area", series of guide books, where the route of one walk encompasses views of waterfalls, geological and archaeological features of Malhamdale and the surrounding area that are sat in a back drop of scenic beauty formed by ice age glaciation and the deposition of carboniferous limestone scenery that attracts many visitors to the area.
This walk follows a circular route that takes in grand views of Winterburn reservoir (947 610), (SOI 5.3) and takes about 6 – 7 hours. The walk is interspersed with springs, gorge - Gordale and/or Bordley and the manmade; reservoir, a pack horse bridge and markers but ends with a waterfall.
