About the Book
Beneath Berlin lie hundreds of unexploded bombs. They are the last of thousands dropped on the city during The Second World War. I photograph trees growing on or near the city’s bombsites to suggest not only past explosions but explosions yet to happen. The following pictures are the result of hundreds of exposures layered onto single negatives.
