This is the diary of Anna Katherine (Ferrar) Binns, daughter of William Moore Ferrar and Eliza (Dickson) Ferrar of Plassey, Tasmania. It covers the 1930s, a period when she and her husband, Canon Harry Kerr Binns, were living in retirement in Penselwood, England. It gives a day by day account of the comings and goings of her children and grandchildren, together with daily life in the village, the county and the country as it moves towards war.
