About the Book
This photo book chronicles our pilgrimage through Poland and Medjugorje. While in Poland we followed in the footsteps of St Faustina and teachings of The Divine Mercy. We learned of the sacrifices of St Maximilian Kolbe, Fr. Jerzy Popiełuszko, and the prisoners of Auschwitz. We saw the beauty of Częstochowa, old town Kraków, Zakopane, Warsaw and the Wieliczka Salt Mines. Our final destination, Medjugorje, filled us with the love and messages of Mary, The Queen of Peace. Treks up Apparition Hill (Podbrdo) and Cross Mountain (Križevac) were difficult in the intense summer heat, but were spiritually rewarding. The visionaries, Fr. Jozo Zovko, and Patrick and Nancy Latta spoke of how the miracles in the war-torn area of Bosnia-Herzegovina have changed their lives - and how they offer hope for peace in the world. We also took short excursions to nearby Kravice Falls and Dubrovnik where we were surrounded by the majestic splendor of the region. Through it all, we made new friends, strengthened family bonds, and ate a lot of wonderful food! I hope you enjoy this small collection of our experiences. (50 pages)
