About the Book
Analogue Emails documents the collaboration between writer Tom Lee and designer Zoë Sadokierski that led to their illustrated book 'Analogue Bodies Vol. 1: Feet and Teeth'. It includes every email Tom and Zoë sent each other, including meta-data listing email title, time sent, and attachments. This unedited, personal correspondence allows invites others to observe the usually private process of taking a project from an initial idea to a printed book.
It includes an introduction describing the history of published collections of letters that document writer-artist collaborations (such as correspondence between John Christie and John Berger), and expressing concern that in a digital age, this kind of documentation of creative collaborations may disappear.
