"On the Shoulders of Others We Stand" is the story of one Italian-American family. It is the story of one family that arrived at Ellis Island as part of the Italian Diaspora of the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, when millions of exploited Italian peasants (contain) left Italy and immigrated abroad. Many of these men and women cameo America, motivated by the hope of a better life for themselves, their children and their grandchildren.
