About the Book
This book, based upon the play by William Shakespeare, was created by students enrolled in Advanced Design at Oak Park High School. Shakespeare wrote Macbeth at a time when the English language was going through enormous change. The resulting play resulted in the coining of words and phrases still in common use today. Written hundreds of years before the invention of film, Macbeth is nonetheless both highly cinematic and visual. Working in collaboration, design students have created an experimental book which is a graphic design "performance" of words and images staged upon the printed page.
