Tucked away within sight of the Statue of Liberty and the skyline of Manhattan is a pocket of land, a sliver of Liberty State Park. It is a haven for wildlife of all kinds in the four distinct habitats (wetlands with salt marshes, the seashore, forested areas and urban area). This book is designed to share images of the wildlife of this section of Liberty State Park. It is also an invitation to connect to the natural world which is bordering on crisis as the negative impact of climate change becomes apparent.
