About the Book
A symphony for orchestra requiring an additional trumpet, and a vibraphone. One has noted how Beethoven selected mundane material for his variations, and in the second movement I have retained the harmony and variation structure of Beethoven 7.2 but introduced themes that are more musical to my ear. Elements of Beethoven colour the first three movements, but the fourth movement is like a night at the ballet.
