About the Book
Take a stroll through history and admire the outstanding craftsmenship of vintage aircraft from World War II. Owners have invested countless hours, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in order to bring these aircraft back to life. Many of these aircraft crashed during WWII, only to be rediscovered decades later. One aircraft was discovered recently because a jogger tripped over something sticking out of the sand on a beach in Europe... only to find it belonged to the Messerschmitt Bf-109E-3 Emil featured in this book! Each aircraft has its own piece of history to tell.
Aircraft include the mighty North American P-51B and D Mustang, Supermarine Spitfire Mk. Vc, Grumman F7F Tigercat, T-6 Texan / SNJ / Harvard, A1-D Skyraider, Boeing B-17G Fying Fortress, Curtiss Jenny, Stearman, Russian I-16 Rata, and many more!
These aircraft are based (mostly) in Washington State, however, there are a few that were simply visiting.
Book is 120 pages and features 169 beautiful images.
