About the Book
I have had the honor to make a dream come true~ this is a memoir of Lois Buffalow's childhood describing her journey growing up on five acres in southern Missouri during the Great Depression. With humor and honesty, she shares her memories that illustrate the challenges she faced and her positive tenacity it took to survive.
Mrs. Buffalow's dream was to see her manuscript in a published form with enough copies printed to share with her family and friends. Lois has provided a colorful tapestry of recollections in a permanent publication that now has become her tangible legacy.
Lois Buffalow's dream came true on March 26, 2009 as she was presented with her published book. Lois joined her husband and mother shortly after on
March 27, 2009.
Because of Dream Foundation, the first national wish granting organization for adults, ages 18+, this dream has been fulfilled. The mission of the Dream Foundation is to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families facing life-limiting illness. Our goal is to insure that no adult, whose life will end prematurely due to a terminal illness, must ever pass from this earth without realizing one final wish from the heart.
As the volunteer Dream Captain, publishing this book has changed me forever…
