About the Book
These are the memoirs of Caroline H. Beck who lived from 9/10/1920 to 12/11/2008, written in 1995. She describes the first half of her life, mainly living in the McKeesport, Glassport and Erie areas of Pennsylvania. Caroline describes her friends and family of those times and includes numerous hilarious quips. Anyone interested in reading about life from the 20's thru the 50's in America, particularly Pennsylvania, and who appreciates a good peppering of an uncommon quick wit, will love this book.
Caroline was loved for many things by all who knew her, but it was her extraordinary humor and the fact that she was WAY ahead of her time that people will remember most of all. The book was published for all who knew and loved her and whom she left behind. She would have loved the fact that she was a published author! If I had known this was possible while she was alive, I would have loved to have surprised her with it. A friend just recently told me about this site.
