Beaudot is the author and co-author of three books of Civil War military history: The Twenty-Fourth Wisconsin Infantry in the Civil War (Stackpole Books, 2003), In the Bloody Railroad Cut at Gettysburg, co-author (Savas Beatie, 1990, 2015), and An Irishman in the Iron Brigade, co-author (Fordham University Press, 1993). He will soon publish Four for the Corps: The Education of a Peace Time Marine. He served in the U. S. Marines from 1953 to 1957.
