About the Book
"Making Memories - A Blue Ridge Smoky Mountains Intergenerational Expedition" is a photographic record of the journey and adventures of a group of grandparents and their grandkids exploring the mountains, rivers and cities of North Carolina. Organized by the Road Scholar organization, the group explored caves; climbed mountains; crossed the mile-high pedestrian bridge on Grandfather Mountain; toured the Biltmore Estate, gardens and winery; toured Asheville and its Pin Ball Museum; searched for gemstones; visited the Cherokee Village and watched the Trail of Tears play about Cherokee history; played sandlot volleyball; visited Bryson City and rode the old Great Smoky Mountains railroad; went white water rafting; watched a minor league baseball game; swam in the Mars Hill University pool; and hiked a portion of the Appalachian Trail.
