About the Book
Hands On India is a not-for-profit organisation that was born out of the dream to help children reach a potential beyond their birth station through education, health care and empowering the community.
The people who we treat in the village are called The Untouchables, who are the lowest on the casting system in India. They receive no government help, education, financial or medical aid and live in dire poverty. Many of them work on the tea plantations and survive by earning a pittance from breaking river stones and selling the rubble to building contractors. These jobs expose the body to extreme amounts of physical stress that can lead to many musculoskeletal conditions that chiropractic care can help with.
