About the Book
The Stillwater Lift Bridge is one of two lift bridges operating in Minnesota. Since opening in 1931 during the height of the Great Depression, the Bridge has provided passage to and from the city of Stillwater. In 2017, the Bridge is scheduled to be converted to a bicycle and pedestrian bridge when the Bypass is completed and opened. The Bridge is an enduring symbol of Stillwater and its history. This book is a photo essay on one of the more notable bridges on the St. Croix and Mississippi rivers.
