About the Book
White Water Landings is the memoir of Geoffrey Pett of his early days, his recruitment by Imperial Airways, and his career with the Empire Flying Boats in Africa.
It’s a vision of bygone days, from the luxury of airtravel in the Empire Flying Boats, to an undeveloped country, run by tribal chiefs within the governance of a fading British Empire. A Boy’s Own adventure with planes, boats, elephants, spies and an amazing romance!
With a forward by Professor Gordon Pirie, Deputy Director of the African Centre for Cities at Cape Town University and Editor of the Journal of Transport History, the book is a must for aviation historians, flying boat enthusiasts, lovers of family history and African adventure, and anyone who loves a good tale with honest people and a touch of romance.

About the Creator
A business and science-based career, but forever writing. IMa J M Pett has a ream of research papers on topics related to fuel poverty, energy efficiency in buildings and climate change, so when she finally got around to writing fiction she used the name Jemima, to save confusing her fans. The Princelings of the East series is for older children. It is set in a feudal fantasy world, with advanced technology, and a smattering of time travel thrown in. It's a unique mix, that one 13 year old described as 'Brilliant!!!!" Her latest series is set in space, a long long way away, in the Viridian System, starring asteroid miners Big Pete and the Swede. This is for adults, although there's only light 'adult' content. Jemima blogs at https://jemimapett.com
