About the Book
While William Hyder was recording rock art at Lava Beds National Monument, poet William Strange wrote a set of poems that expressed his personal responses to the indigenous art. After gifting the poems to the photographer, Hyder created a handmade book as a thank you. Originally limited to 10 copies, Hyder is reissuing the volume in a new format to honor the memory of William Strange.
