About the Book
Kim Ashcraft, a Latin teacher at The Summit Country Day School, has translated a treasure trove of relics and Relic Authentics in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at The Summit. Collected by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, who founded the school in 1890 and ran it until The Summit became independent in 1984, the collection includes relics of St. Julie Billiart, the founder of the order. Photos of the relics are paired with photos of the Relic Authentics to create a visually beautiful legacy for the school’s 125th anniversary and a record for all time of this aspect of Catholic history. Students of Latin may have a special interest in reading the Relic Authentics.
