About the Book
For over a decade Lauren Simkin Berke had a daily practice of drawing based on found vintage photographs. These were small freehand ink drawings done in sketchbooks, drawn with dip pens or technical pens, and were based on photographs from the 1880s through the 1980s. This practice allowed Berke to amass an archive of over 1600 such drawings, many of which have never been seen. This is the third volume of "Sketchbook Drawings," and the first to be available in a large format.
