The students from the 2016 Natural Science Illustration certificate program at the University of Washington are a diverse group of scientists and artists who were drawn together by a common love of illustrating nature. This book shows some of their best work from a year-long program that challenged them to improve their observational skills and learn new illustration techniques. Featured are works in watercolor, pen and ink, gouache, and colored pencil, showing both zoological and botanical subjects.
