Born in Australia of Kiwi parents, and educated there, I have now lived longer in the UK than I have in my home country. Though I worked primarily as a Speech and Language Therapist (Australia, then Canada and the UK) my father was an artist and had taught me the basics of photography. So I was very lucky, and never travel anywhere without my trusty Nikon!
