I am currently a 3rd year Fine Art student at the University of Newcastle. I love to paint, I find it to be a pathway to inner peace. The joy of my simple expressive practice had been something I always wanted to share. I was fortunate enough to be able to do this within an art therapy internship at Tinonee Gardens The Multicultural Village, an aged care facility in Waratah. I had the pleasure of spending my time there with a charming resident named Alan Bone. I visited him weekly from March through to June. The paintings photographed throughout this book are reflections of the time I spent with Alan.
