About the Book
Photos of fruit and vegetables have undergone a digital ‘genetic’ engineering process. The images went through several transformations in transcending stages of microorganism, mandalas, snowflakes and insects.
The human eye always tries to find recognisable features. During those processes of transformation repeatedly
Astrid saw faces looking at her, kind of weird alien ones... Those faces were digitally enhanced, printed with inkjet on paper, cut by hand with scalpel and gently shaped in to these Alien masks, size roughly: 18 x 14 x 4cm
