About the Book
RELICS examines the often unacknowledged religious past that underlies our 21st century secularity. This suite of artworks consists of seven halftone woodblock prints (woodcut images made of dots) depicting religious objects from various traditions. These prints are paired with scrolls bearing common 21st century American English platitudes that could be construed as having philosophical or spiritual meanings.
