2016 is a year that many are glad to see the back of. Brexit divided the nation as well as dividing the continent; a man with no political experience, worrying opinions, and a guinea pig on his head managed to become America’s president; and a disturbing number of beloved celebrities passed away. Some have suggested that things went downhill after David Bowie died, as if he was holding the universe together..

Thankfully there were beacons of hope and happiness amongst all the gloom and doom. Families grew and came together for some truly heart-warming events. There were a few milestone birthdays; some arrivals, Christenings and events where the uprising of the little ones continued to amuse and entertain us all; and a certain wedding that epitomised how great our circles of friends and family really are.
