About the Book
It's the third week of March. Most of the snow is gone. The winter is but a memory. Images on the following pages document some of winter's extraordinary Spirit.
Over the winter In the comfort of my house, I photographed snow on the deck and the skylight, and frost on the windows. At the corner tennis court, an elegant collection of icicles adorned a chain-linked fence. Along the shore of Lake Ontario, I found ice floating on water. Several weeks later, I tramped through the deepest snow of High Park to keep an appointment with several trees.
Amazing that frozen water produces so many forms, shapes, and textures.
Spirit still sings sweetly in our universe.
