About the Book
To force this change, our hero contemplates breaking one of Pangeastan’s many strict bylaws, but then he meets Neisha, a clone who makes him reconsider his rash decsion. Ishtam is so smitten with Neisha that he asks her to meet him after work (they both work in a massive surveillance facility), but at the time they were supposed to meet, she does not show up.
Meanwhile, with Neisha gone missing, Ishtam’s fortunes change for the better, due to an activity that he has been doing in secret––drawing. Soon his talents become known to a half-clone, half-robotic Pangeastan official who has great plans for Ishtam.
Part 1984, part BRAVE NEW WORLD, with a little bit of Raymond Chandler thrown in, LAST SEEN AT STANDING STONE is a riveting tale of the confluence of creativity and art and love confronting an unforgettably dystopian world.
