About the Book
Horizontal handscrolls were a means of telling stories hundreds of years ago. They and folding albums were places to tell of a festival or event. No computers way back then. Artists were commissioned to paint the event and often lived on sight for days. These scrolls tell stories. I suppose it is the fine art answer to comic graphic novels. These were not terribly long scrolls and come with matching brocade boxes. You see, horizontal handscrolls are read as a book. They are held by wooden dowels between the hands and read as a book as slowly unrolled and savored. Perhaps with a cup of tea. So grab a drink of choice, curl up, and enjoy.
