A photo book of remote villages in Gujarat state, in Western India. Many portraits of village women in beautifully embroidered dress with jewelry. Also portraits of men, and of children. Includes villages that are largely Hindu, largely Muslim, or inhabited by the original Adi Vasi people. Examples of craft work (textile, wood) and many images of women doing the time consuming chores of every day life.
