About the Book
Mint Street, one of the oldest and longest street in Chennai, South India. It derived its name from of the East India Company Mint that existed at the end of this street during the British era. It is a major commercial center located in the neighborhood of Georgetown. In 2014 I sent a message to Colin Todhunter a long term resident of India from Liverpool and asked him where was the best place to take photos in India. He said Mint Street. I had been there 10 years earlier and vaguely remembered it. I traveled to India and captured the photos that follow in this magazine.
