About the Book
The Piano Roll Project was organized by Kristin Malin and Gail Skudera, who invited thirty-one artists to perform acts of artistic ingenuity on vintage piano rolls. The pieces were hung from the ceiling, twisted around columns, elevated above the floor and strung between columns. Paula Heisen designed the catalog to document this beautifully installed show, which was held at the Museum L-A in Lewiston, Maine, on the third floor of the Bates Mill.
