About the Book
ACCIDENTAL STREET GRAPHICS
For years now I’ve been passionately collecting
scraps of reality, caught by the photographer’s eye.
The use of photography is mainly a question of
a decades-long habit, but it of course also results
from a certain ease with which one can harness
the very medium.
After many years, hundreds of thousands of images
have formed a kind of iconosphere of more
or less personal memories. They also comprise
a collection that has shaped my memory resources.
I am aware of a snippet-like fashion, a certain
randomness and peculiar style of the collection.
It is merely my raw material, a groundwork
for possible further visual applications.
This material is also a collection of images concerned with borderline spheres, peripheral spaces and, particularly, fragmentary visions,
often in a micro scale.

INCIDENTAL LANDSCAPE
Incidental Landscape invokes illusory worlds that disrupt the boundaries between the real form of the land and fragments of someone’s creative imagination, a document and a fiction.
Art is intertwining the medium of painting and photography. The images transcend the usual depiction of the land leaving reality unreadable. Instead they bring forward dreams, hidden symbolism, sense of spirituality, emotions, stimulate intellectually.
Incidental Landscape is an event which does not communicate but becomes a communication itself. The subject of this series (which is
known also as The Indigenous Land) reflects
on the essence of the earth in parallel with the aboriginal way, making an emphatic statement about the basic truth of something.
The outward appearance similar to aboriginal “dot painting” in some of the images is surprising and can be the significant element effecting someone’s perception, the way in which image is regarded, understood or interpreted.
