The Instant Icons are an art series by artist and photographer Jeff LeFever. His Instant Icons are printed on instant analog film mimicking the classic SX-70 Land Camera Polaroid film prints. This catalog presents 247 of the pre-print Instant Icon digital simulations that were created prior to making the physical prints. The simulations are gathered together in seven categories: unaltered, black and white, wounds, distressed, phenos, wallpapered and fashioned, with an insightful introduction by Sanderson Flemming. The artworks are beautiful as much as they are attentive. The Instant Icons entreat us to consider them as both doors to heaven and mirrors to ourselves.
